FNI participates in Canadian Smart Cities Mission to India
On February 6th, Fireseeds North Infrastructure traveled to India to participate in the Canadian Smart Cities Mission to India, which was organized by the High Commission of Canada in Delhi and the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).
As India’s urban population climbs towards 600 million people, their cities will need to accommodate large numbers of people in ways that promote economic growth, social equity, and safety. The Government of India has recently established a 'Smart Cities' program with the objective of both developing new urban areas and modernizing existing cities and infrastructure.
Fireseeds North Infrastructure had the pleasure to meet with Indian leaders from the public, private and research sectors. Discussions ranged from the implementation of road safety management systems and the application of Video Conflict Analysis software in an Indian context, to inclusive transportation planning. The meetings serve as the first step in developing a continuous collaboration with new partners in India.
